Well I would like to kick off this post by firstly wishing a happy Freedom Day to not only South Africans everywhere but to the wider global community. April 27th commemorates the first democratic post-apartheid elections which where held on the same day in 1994 in South Africa. The event was seen as a massive step forward in the socio-political evolution of the country and has since then been celebrated in the country as a national holiday.
