True Luxury Relaxation With a Spa Holiday

One of the most relaxing and luxurious types of holiday is a spa holiday.  What’s better than being pampered, exfoliated, and massaged to your most relaxed and fit state?  Not much.  We’ve come up with our favourite luxury holidays with some of the world’s best spas incorporated.  They’re great choices for a relaxing holiday or for a very soothing honeymoon.  Here is our top four list for spas you should consider visiting on your next holiday:

1.      Anantara Golden Triangle, Thailand.  This luxurious resort is located in one of Thailand’s most beautiful locations, on a hill overlooking nearby Laos and Burma.  The Anantara is designed specifically to evoke a Northern Thai feel, with pointed roofs on the outside and ornate wood carvings decorating the interiors.  The spa, with such incredible views, is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and truly enjoy your luxury holiday.

2.      AKA, Thailand.  This resort has some of the most private villas you’ll find in Thailand at present.  The AKA is situated inland, with lovely views of mountains and surrounding rice paddies, though is still just a fifteen minute shuttle ride to the beach, making it a good choice for couples who want to get out and couples who would like to stay in equally.  The spa is world class, offering both traditional spa treatments and yoga classes to help you get in touch with your inner peace.  If you truly don’t want to leave the seclusion of your villa, the spa can come to you and you will be able to enjoy relaxation in complete privacy.

3.      Breezes Beach Club & Spa.  Breezes is designed for relaxation, from its location on a beautiful white sand beach to its spacious air-conditioned suites to its amazing spa.  The Frangipani Spa was the first one of its kind in Zanzibar and is designed to evoke an ancient Swahili style.  At the spa, treatments range from invigorating massages to a soothing “après-safari” treatment designed to be employed after an exhausting day of safari drives.  It’s a great place to spend a truly relaxing holiday.  The food is also a highlight at Breezes – and you can enjoy it in your room, on the beachfront, or in the main restaurant.

4.      Maia Luxury Resort and Spa.  The Maia is truly a retreat – it’s one of Seychelles’ most desirable island hideaways.  As such, it’s perfect for a relaxing week or so enjoying the beach and spa, ideal for honeymoons or holidays after more stressful experiences at home or at work.  Maia has a large range of different villas, so you can choose the level of seclusion and luxury you desire, and also boasts the world-class Maia Spa, which has been designed by La Prairie.  It’s a paradise designed to help you escape and relax from the pressures of your day to day life; three luxurious thatched treatment pavilions are set aside solely for the purpose of pampering and massage, while another open pavilion offers yoga, shiatsu, and qi gong.
