Explore Jordan Day 1: Amman

Join the tour on arrival at Queen Alia International airport or as an addition to pre-existing travel arrangements in Jordan. At the airport you will be met by our local representatives who will assist with customs and immigration formalities. You will be escorted to your car and transported to your chosen hotel in Amman. Those guests with pre-existing travel arrangements in Jordan will check-in at their chosen hotel in Amman. Following check-in, your luggage will be delivered to your rooms. Overnight in Amman.

Day 2: Amman|Mt Nebo|Dead Sea|Petra

Following breakfast you will check-out and commence your journey to Petra, taking the King’s Highway. You will visit Madaba City, home to the Greek Orthodox church of St. George and its famous mosaic floor map of the Holy Land, constructed in AD560. From here you travel to Mt Nebo, the site from which Moses was said to have seen the Promised Land and where he was later laid to rest. There are splendid views of the Dead Sea, Jericho and Jerusalem. The Dead Sea is the next stop. At 400 metres below sea level it is one of the lowest points on Earth. The Dead Sea’s high salinity makes for extreme buoyancy which you will have the opportunity to experience. Continue to Petra and check-in at your chosen hotel. Overnight in Petra.Jordan

Day 3: Petra

After breakfast you will meet your guide in the hotel lobby and walk or drive to the Petra’s main entrance. From here you will commence your tour. Petra is approached through a narrow fissure known as the Siq. Its sites are hewn out of the living rock and are truly a wonder to behold. They include the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Theatre, Royal Tombs, the Colonnaded Street and the Byzantine Tombs. On a higher level are the Monastery (Ad-Deir) with its stunning cliff-side views and the High Place of Sacrifice, a 45 minute climb by stairs. Overnight in Petra.

Day 4: Wadi Rum

After breakfast you will head south to Wadi Rum, noted for its soaring rock outcrops and picturesque desert scenery. On arrival at Wadi Rum rest house you will be offered refreshments by your local guide before embarking upon an exploration of the area by jeep. At the end of the tour there is an opportunity for you to freshen up, followed by a direct transfer back to Amman. Overnight in Amman.

Day 5: Departure

Following breakfast, check-out of your hotel and either transfer to the airport for your departure or continue with your onward arrangements in Jordan.
