Day 1: Vientiane
Arrival in Vientiane. First stop at Pha That Luang. It is a symbol of both the Buddhist religion and Lao sovereignty. Next is Patuxai, a large monument in the style of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Then proceed to Ho Pha Keo, a museum containing some of the best examples of Buddhist sculptures found in Laos. After that visit Wat Si Saket, which contains more than 2,000 silver and ceramic Buddha images. Then stop at Wat Si Muang, a temple that acts as the home of Vientiane’s guardian spirits. The last visit of the day is at Talaat Sao which is a morning market but also opens all day – selling a wide range of fabrics, jewellery and electronic goods. Retire back to hotel to check in overnight at Vientiane.
Day 2: Vientiane-Luang Prabang
Transfer to the airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Transfer out of airport to the hotel for check in. Continue with sightseeing in Luang Prabang. The first visit will be Wat Xieng Thong. It shows the typical Lao art style with old religious artifacts and some ancient masterpieces of Lao art. Wat Wisunalat, built in 1513, is known to be the oldest operating temple in Luang Prabang with a collection of gilded wooden Buddhas from the 15th and 16th centuries. The next visit is to Wat Mai. It was once the residence of Phra Sangkharaj. Wat That Luang contains a few Luang Prabang Buddhas and other artifacts. The last visit is to Wat Saen, a Thai style wat built in 1718 and restored in 1957. After the tour retire back to hotel for overnight at Luang Prabang.
Day 3: Luang Prabang
Take a boat excursion to Pak Ou Caves. Pak Ou Caves are full of Buddha images in various styles, ages and sizes. Stop at Ban Xang Hai. This village was once a ‘Jar-Maker Village,’ but today the community fills the jars that are exported elsewhere with láo-láo, the local rice whisky. Retire back to hotel for an overnight in Luang Prabang.

Laos
Day 4: Luang Prabang-Vientiane
Visit the National Museum which houses the Royal throne of the Lan Xang Kingdom and many other pieces of regalia and religious treasures. The last visit of the day is at Phu Si, a temple on the upper slopes of a 100 metre high hill. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Vientiane. Transfer from airport to hotel to check in. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 5: Vientiane
Transfer to airport.
